Vision, Mission and Values
Life in all its fullness
John 10:10
Our Five Christian Values:
At St Gabriel’s Church of England Primary School, we have five Christian values:
Endurance
Wisdom
Trust
Friendship
Excellence
Motto:
‘Achieving Together Through Faith ‘
Vision:
To ensure that Each And Every Child, no matter their background or circumstances, reaches their potential and leaves us ready for the next stage of life, doing this through living ‘life in all its fullness‘ (John 10:10).
Mission:
At St Gabriel’s Church of England Primary School, teaching and learning is at the heart of everything we do to ensure that our children leave us knowing more and are able to do more as a result of the highest quality of education which we provide for all of our pupils, doing this through living ‘life in all its fullness‘ (John 10:10). As a church school, we believe that our school Christian values allow us to ‘achieve together through faith‘. We aim to enable children to grow in their faith and work hard to make strong links between our school, our homes, our church and our community.
Promoting Fundamental British Values:
In accordance with The Department for Education, we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain.
Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.
The Key Values are:
• Rule of law
• Democracy
• Mutual respect
• Individual liberty
• Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
At St Gabriel’s Church of England Primary School we are proud to promote British values. These values go hand in hand with our school’s own core values.
The school places significant emphasis upon the engagement of pupils in understanding and living within the context of British values, both within the classroom and beyond. Display boards promoting and engaging pupils positively in the process can be found throughout our school.
In the Autumn term we focus upon democracy. We held elections for our School Council and our new House Captains. We learnt about the voting process and how we can have our own say about what goes on in school.
