Collective Worship

In this section of our website, you can find out all about our Collective Worship.

We believe that our school, underpinned by Christian values, is a wonderful place to grow, with the teachings of Jesus at the very heart of all we say and do. It is an exciting and loving community in which to learn. We are committed to offering high quality opportunities for children and staff to come together and worship as an opportunity to grow in both faith and community.

As a result, collective Worship is a fundamental part of our daily life at St Gabriel’s Church of England Primary School and is offered as part of a wider opportunity for pupils and adults to encounter faith by engaging in conversations about God, both as individuals and together. Every week, children take part in worships as a class and as a whole school. We also work closely with St Gabriel’s Church to enhance the children’s experience of faith in action through fortnightly visits to church to worship and grow in our faith.

We ensure our children grow up to understand the Christian core values of excellence, endurance, trust, friendship and wisdom. Our Christian foundation underpins all that we do. We pride ourselves in our inclusive culture, our celebration of individual talents, skills and achievements, our excellent standards of behaviour and firm commitment to providing the highest quality of education for our children. We believe that this can only be achieved through a close and trusting relationship between home and school. Working together, we can ensure that your child receives the very best opportunities for a successful future.
